| Friday January 26, 2007 - The Northwood Fire Department was dispatched to the 300 Block of Glenwood Road for an Apartment Fire, per our Automatic Aid Agreement with Rossford. Upon arrival of Northwood units there was heavy smoke coming from the structure and the fire was venting out of the front window. Northwood crews provided a water supply and assisted Rossford with searching the structure and ventilation. Crews got a quick knockdown, but remained on scene for an extended amount of time while awaiting the State Fire Marshall to conduct an investigation, which is still ongoing. Thanks to those that provided the crews with lunch and hot beverages during one of the coldest days of the year so far. There were no fire service or civilian casualties, although Northwood and Rossford each had a piece of apparatus malfunction. Photos taken by Rossford Chief Jim Verbosky. | |||||
