At 1952 hours on January 26th, Northwood Station 1 was dispatched to Wales Rd near E. Broadway for a reported car in the ditch. On arrival crews found a vehicle that had departed the roadway and ended up in a deep drainage ditch. The vehicle was occupied by two females both of which sustained injuries. The ditched contained aprroximately 2-3 feet of water and a very muddy bottom making access to, and removal of the victims a challenge. The roof of the vehicle was removed to aid in patient removal. Both patients injuries were determined to be serious and Lake Twp medic 50, and Life Flight were called for assistance. Both patients were transported to St Vincent's Medical Center. One by Life Flight, and one by our Unit- 807.
