April ,12 2006 - Northwood Station 1 responded mutual aid to the 900 block of Dixie Hwy. with Rossford Fire, for an injury accident, involving a mini-van and a car. There were 3 patients with 2 going with Rossford Medic 798, one patient was flown by Life Flight to a local trauma center with an orthopedic injury. Local law enforcement is still investigating the cause of this crash. The car driver was not injured, however crews had to struggle to remove the victim due to the vehicles position, and patients condition. Northwood crews assisted with pt extrication and BLS, and ALS pt care.
