At 1425 hours on January 7th, Northwood Station 1 was dispatched to a lumber pile on fire at the Evergreen landfill. On the arrival of Chief -100 the fire was found to be in a large pile of pallets. Northwood 2, and Lake Township were called for assistance. Lake Township tankers were needed due to limited water supply at the landfill. The pile of pallets was pulled apart using the landfills equipment protected by handlines and eventually extinguished.
