Fatal MVA with Rossford - At approximately 1425 hours on August 8, 2006 the Northwood Fire Department was dispatched to Southbound Interstate 75 at Wales Road for a Rollover MVA. While crews were preparing their response, Toledo Fire had also received this accident, but at Miami St. and Rossford Fire had received it at Buck Rd. Northwood crews were delayed due to a heavy traffic backup on I-75. Upon the arrival of Rossford Units, this MVA was in their district and they had one patient, who was pronounced on scene. The lone occupant of the vehcile was not wearing his seatbelt and lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll over multiple times. Northwood Units assisted with securing and shielding the scene, along with patient extrication.
