Structure Fire- Mutual Aid with Lake Township- February 17th 2010- At 0550 a.m. Northwood Fire Department was dispatched on a mutual aid call for a structure fire at the Stony Ridge Inn in Lake Township. Responding units included Engine 811, Squad 814, Truck 802, Unit 806, Medic 800, and Chief 100. There were a total of seven departments on scene. The Restaurant portion of the building was heavily envolved on units arrival. Crews were on scene for several hours assisting with overhaul after the fire was extinguished. The Restaurant was a total loss however, the rest of structure suffered only smoke and water damage. On Feb. 19, the fire marshal issued a statement saying they "found significant evidence that indicates the fire was intentionally set." A Blue Ribbon Arson award of up to $5,000 is offered for information leading to the person(s) responsible for the fire. If you know anything, call the State Fire Marshall's office at 1-800-589-2728.
